Kim Smith played soccer at the University of Virginia while earning a BA in English Literature & Composition. She continued her soccer career playing in Japan’s Division 1 L League for the OKI FC Winds, in Germany’s Bundesliga for FC1 Saarbrucken, and in the USA for the Raleigh Wings and Sacramento Storm. Kim earned her National C Coaching License and has been coaching at the club and high school level for the past 14 years in Los Angeles. She is currently the Athletic Director at The Archer School for Girls where she is also headed into her eighth season as Varsity Soccer Head Coach. Kim has been a member of Equal Playing Field Initiative for the past three years and achieved two world records in Africa and Jordan prior to the upcoming France attempt. She is committed to creating awareness and change for girls and equity in sport and believes that sport has the power to transform lives.
Deena Abdel Rahman
Deena and her husband own a football academy in Bahrain where they have been living for almost 10 years. She started her coaching career at 17 along side playing pro for Fulham FC and represented England at youth level. During this time she completed a degree in sports science and gained coaching experience in USA, Egypt and with Fulham and Arsenal before moving to Bahrain. In January this year Bahrain gained silver in the West Asia Cup narrowly missing out to Jordan. Deena has been a part of Equalplayingfieldinitiative in both their previous world records and is excited to be a part of the latest adventure taking place in France.
