Leading the team, leading the players aims to discuss the importance of leadership in coaching.
Marisa Gonzalez is a women's soccer coach for Noria F.C in Puebla, Mexico. She has also been a part of organizing committees as a venue manager for the 2011 Pan American Games Guadalajara 2011 and a operations director for the 2013 WTF World Taekwondo Championships in Puebla.
As a coach, she has developed the women's program in Noria Futbol Club into becoming one of the top teams in the region. The team has been regional champion in 2017 and 2018 and continuously works with players into achieving their goals to get college scholarships or going professional. Marisa also works at Noria Futbol Club with boy's football and organizes all 7vs7 tournaments and leagues playing at the Noria Complex; averaging 2,500 players weekly.
Marisa works daily into creating a program that not only is successful on the field but develops leaders in society with values such as work ethic, discipline and empathy towards others.
Her main goal with the players is: Have fun and love the game!
